I just wanted to say thank you to yourself, Susan, Ken, and all the gentlemen who worked on planting the trees in back yard. The installation looks terrific – a very polished job.

Everything from start to finish was excellent. Susan and her team helped me to achieve the goals I had dreamed of in my yard. Communication was excellent and I was always able to reach them promptly. During the process they provided suggestions and direction on how to improve on things that I had in mind, while never trying to change ultimate vision. The actually planting was perfect and so beautiful. When the team left my house they cleaned up after themselves very well – except for my amazing gardens you would never have known they were there. The team of workers were very friendly as well. I will definitely use them again!

Ron and I wanted you to know how pleased we are with Laura’s service. She has been tremendously valuable in manicuring our gardens and she’s such a pleasant person to work with. We’re so, so happy that you have hired her and hope she’s a permanent asset for you, as well as for us.
We also wanted to let you know that the Katsuras are looking much better! Trimming out the dead branches made a big difference. There’s loads of leaves on top. There’s also loads of new shoots that hopefully will eventually turn into branches to fill up the bottom half of the trees. Please let Ken know that his fine manicuring and deep rooting has made a big difference.
And, we are enjoying all of the color around us from every viewpoint. The selection of annuals were spot-on and are producing a spectacular show. This is exactly what we had hoped for and we are very grateful that you were able to bring this beauty to our gardens.
I don’t see us doing anything more this year other than what Laura is doing. We’ll probably want to do the nature path next year and so we’ll need to think about this later this year. In the meantime, we hope you both enjoy your summer.
If I Could Give Them 6 Stars I Would!
I used Sterling to get my house ready to host a BBQ for a couple of colleagues and the results were beyond my wildest expectations. Mark came out and gave us some great ideas for what we could do with our yard, and went into great detail on the genus and species of the plants in our yard, as well as the best plans for how to maintain them on our own. On the day of the big yard cleanup, he came out to the house with two other very friendly gents and before I could offer them a soda, they had chopped down two encroaching trees and were hard at work on a brush pile I had been chipping away at for the better part of a year. Eight hours later when I got back from work, I literally said “No [explicative] way!” about twelve times while walking around the yard. The guys did a bang up job, really made the place look great, and I will absolutely be using them again for a spring and late summer cleanup. You guys rock!

I am thrilled with my new evergreens! My save-a-tree arborist happened to come by the day those were being planted apparently and he has sent me a note giving you all a good review. It started with our initial consultation where you were more than willing to share your expertise with me, a novice. I also really appreciated your understanding that we were on a budget. You helped pick and choose which jobs would be the best bang for our buck without pushing any unnecessary jobs.

We have been providing landscape supplies, both hardscape and plant materials to fulfill the requirements for designs created by Susan Olinger. Her designs are not only technically accomplished, but show an artistic flair which displays individuality and uniqueness of application.
Although we see many accomplished design constructions, rarely do we see someone who not only enjoys the subject matter, but also has the confidence and artistic vision not to feel constricted by the mundane and repetitiveness so often seen.
We wanted to thank you for the beautiful and unusual landscape design you did for the front of our property. Your incorporation of the picket fence with the brick walk and patio has made our property very charming and a pleasure to our eyes. We are also thrilled with the perennials that you used in the design as they require very little maintenance, as we requested, and add such lovely color and texture to our surroundings.
Several weeks ago, we received a phone call from a realtor who had driven a prospective buyer through our neighborhood and the buyer expressed interest in our home due to the curb appeal.

Now that our landscape dream has become a reality, Kevin and I wanted to say thank you for a beautiful job. When you first met with us, I was impressed with your presentation of concept and design. You suggested a number of landscaping features that we would never have thought about, and are now so happy with….The installation was completed on time and within budget. We noticed the many days of on-site supervision that you provided, although you have such a professional team that I’m sure all the details would have come out just perfectly had you not been here all the time.
Susan, your design and selection of plants and trees have made the space a world unto itself – a very special place. It is so peaceful and serene, a wonderful setting to relax while the sun sets. The design turned out to be exactly what we had envisioned and more.
We can’t thank you enough for the care that you took to make our life easy during the excavation and installation phases during the project. Susan, you showed us excellent project management skills, and we can’t tell you how much that mattered to us since we did not have time to coordinate the efforts of the plumber, irrigations system folks and the electrician. With your attention to timing, detail and direction, everything went very smoothly….It was a real pleasure working with you and your team.
